On our drive through Williamson County we came accross Leipers Fork which we had never been to. It is such a cute quaint little town. We stopped to and visited the antique shops and had some YUMMY BBQ! 
I can't resist telling my husband to get a shot of me! I like being in front of the camera as well as behind it!! 
Well another weekend road trip led us to Still Hollow Falls in Maury county just past Columbia Tn. It was a short hike and the falls were worth the 1 1/2 hour drive..plus something to do on an overcast breezy day. We had a good time..

Here is Drew and I posing with the "Stay Off the Rocks" sign...Yeah we didn't! We hiked up behind the falls...it was AWESOME!! 
There is a photo contest I am considering entering and one of the categories is "Things on a fencepost". As we were on our way to Williamson County for a tour of farmlands....one of our many weekend road trips...I came accross this old wagon wheel on a fencepost. This is actually a house located about 2 blocks from Green Hills Mall...I made a "U-ey"...parked illegally and stood in the middle of the road dodging cars to get this shot!! 
This is my VERY first attempt at HDR! It's so funny because being a newbie to HDR I never thought about it at the moment but as I was composing this shot I thought that the cows were so vital to the scenery...but DUH they were MOVING!! Not a good thing when using HDR. So if you click on the pick you can see some interesting ghost cow in the foreground!! I need to work on it!! But I am pretty proud of my first attempt..I love how it brought out the clouds.
Another drive on backroads yielded hidden signs of spring...
On this particular day my husband and i went on an adventure to find some streams and waterfalls....thank goodness for GPS!! We simply took to the interstate and pulled off a rural exit and just drove. We were lucky this day to find a stream along side of the road and followed it a good ways. Came across several small waterfalls...as my husband found his spot to set up the tripod I was like a child looking around for hidden signs of spring and found these flowers. We went to get shots from under the waterfall and I noticed the moss dripping water and got this first shot. We had a lot of fun this day but the best part was when my husband AKA Indiana Jones says.."I'll just cross the stream to get to the waterfall"..Famous last words....I chose to head back up to the road and cross the bridge however I found myself ALONE on a back road in "Hicksville" and a truck stops ahead of me on the bridge and as I am looking at this truck thinking of "The Hills Have Eyes" I hear SPLASH!!! Yep my husband has fallen in the stream!!! LOL keep in mind we are still in early Spring and the water was hella cold! After that point I am not sure what happened to the "Get-Yous" but I went to help...laugh...Anyways ENJOY 
These are a few test shots of my son Drew out on an "Urban" Photoshoot.He was very reluctant! As you can see...his ENTHUSIASM shines through in the photos. He gets really sick of "Hey stand over there so I can see how this will look"....Oh and check out how i couldn't even get him to take off the ipod! Darn teenagers!
